Present Position

Mr. Bruce Leister is president of BL Enterprises, Inc. BL Enterprises, Inc. specializes in remarketing of high technology equipment and appraisals of high technology equipment for purchase allocations, FASB accounting, lease transactions, property tax, and asset based lending purposes. BL Enterprises, Inc. also performs auctions for high technology manufacturing equipment.

Experience

Mr. Leister is known as one of the world’s experts in valuing and marketing high technology equipment with nearly 35 years of experience in his field. He specializes in Semiconductor Equipment, Analytical & Scientific Equipment, Printed Circuit Board Equipment, Mask Making Equipment and Machine Tools. He has served as an expert witness in court concerning equipment valuation in California, Maine, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Colorado for Ad Valerom Tax Cases and Dissolution Proceedings. Mr. Leister has taught various classes on the valuation of high technology equipment for organizations such as: Reclaim Managers Association, International Society of Appraisers, Associated Oregon Industries, American Society of Appraisers, Oregon Dept. of Revenue, Oregon Assessor’s Association, Washington Assessor’s Association, The Commercial Finance Conference and other national lending institutions.

Prior to starting BL Enterprises, Inc. Mr. Leister spent seven years as president of Dovetech, Inc. now Dove Bid Valuations. He was the Vice-president of The Source, a high-technology equipment brokerage firm for a period of 12 years prior to running the operations at Dovetech.

Mr. Leister has a Senior Member designation from the American Society of Appraisers and also has served as president of the San Francisco Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers. He has completed several appraisal related courses offered by the American Society of Appraisers including ME 201 Intro to Machinery and Equipment, ME202 Machinery and Equipment Valuation Methodology, ME203 Machinery and Equipment Valuation-Advanced Topics and Case Studies, ME204 Machinery and Equipment Valuation-Advanced Topics and Report Writing, ME215 Performing Machinery and Equipment Valuations for Financial Reporting Purposes He has been licensed as an Auctioneer in California, Texas, Washington, Idaho, Missouri, and New York.
